I have an HP computer, and every time I start it up and get on MSN and go to check my mail, I get the same error: The words "Error Reporting" appear on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, like a dialog box is open with the title "error reporting" - but that's the thing, there is no dialog box. Sometimes this freezes the computer, sometimes it doeesn't. I have tried to install all the latest Microsoft updates, all the MSN updates, and finally I turned off the error reporting feature in Windows XP. Is there anything else I can try to resolve this
problem???? Thanks for the help.

My guess is that the computer is reporting back to an HP support site.

Call them and ask them to tell you how to turn off error reporting from inside the HP troubleshootng utility.

You might find that a troubleshooting utility is listed in Start>>Program Files>>HP/Compaq
