I keep getting this message: NTLDR:Fatal Error 256 Boot.INI I have used the Recovery Console to fix the problem once. After updating and restarting the same message came up again. When I try to recover again it will not work. I keep getting the same error message. Thanks in advance

Yes I did. I was told to use the recovery disc, wich I did. I was told to type in bootcfg /rebuild, which I did. It worked the first time. After going to the windows update site and doing some updates I had to restart the computer which I did. When the computer restarted I got the same message. So I repeated the above steps this time it did not work. This time It will now allow me to even get into safe more to remove the installation. I could avoid this and do a destructive install but I'd rather not. This is a new issuse that I am facing. I have never seen this before. Sorry if I sound bitter!
