Successfully installed the software FLA RES ENER GAUGE Ver 4.51.When trying to open the program, I get this error message:ERROR WHILE UNPACKING PROGRAM.ERROR LP5. PLEASE REPORT TO AUTHOR. I called the software company. They told me to remove all my virus, firewall and spyware protections, then install the software. I followed all the instructions, but the problem persists. They sent me a new CD. Same error message. What is wrong with my computer?

Seems to be connected to CA (Computer Associates) security products, Pest Patrol etc. - more here

Sure - I figured there should've been more results, so I relaxed the parameters a bit

Kind of sounds like more or less what support had advised him, although it seems a bit extreme

I've no idea what the application in question is, but the error seems to come up with a wide range of products - one page suggested it might be VB related (?)
