I get this error message when i Try to install Win Xp:

An error encountered that prevents Setup from
continuing.
One of the components that windows needs to continue Setup
could not be installed.
Incorrect function.

Press OK to see the error log file.
When i press OK this comes up:
Error:
Installtion Failed D:\I386\asms. Error message: Incorect function.

Any body knows whats wrong and/or what to do?

Mr. Nice Guy,
Is this a clean install or an upgrade over another? What os do you presently have. What are your system credentials? Have you tried running upgrade from dos, not in windows?

It's a clean install. My system specs are: P3@667Mhz, 128Mb Ram, 3 gig hdd(test drive) Savage 4Pro, PS/2 mouse and keyboard.
