Hello to all computer masters!

I have a problem with my windows xp pro, everytime i start my computer there is an error appeared in startup, the title of the dialog box was "WINDOWS SCRIPT HOST", and in the the dialog box the specific error "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DLL CACHE\KERNEL32.DLL invalid charadcter code 800A048 source microsoft vbscript"

The problem started after I installed Norton Antivirus and found a virus in "kernel32.dll the virus name was VBS/Redlof.a and was been disinfected.

You have any suggestions that really works to fix this problem?

Thanks.

Here is the link from symantec about that virus.

It likely modified the files you are getting errors on so you will likely have to replace them from backups or the xp cd.
Norton or any other av prog for that matter can't always fix what the virus wrecked.
As the info in the link provides...be careful in the registry, follow exactly or ya can do lots more damage.
Good luck
