Hi Everyone,
This is another mystery from the wonderful people at m$. I get this message anytime I want to delete, move or scan for malware,--can't load "VDExt800.dll, last error: 126--.
This file is located in the system32 directory. I duplicated it to the windows folder and added to the system directory. The results are the same. I don't know if the file is corrupted and can't find a replacement on the net.I would appreciate your help in solving this mystery, the os, it seems, can find the file, but can't load it.
What this means, I have no idea. This problem I am sure will be solved with their upcoming new os, that they will be selling us shortly, in the meantime, this is really annoying, as I have to OK this error message from 3 to 10 times before I get my command to function.
Again, I would appreciate your input to get things back to normal,
thanking you in advance,
frank

Hello to anyone who has this problem, thanks to a russian website, I found this file belongs to a virtual drive program. I deleted the program and eliminated the problem. Why this would kick in when I wanted to delete, move or check for a virus has me baffled, but, this is your software and os, which down the road, will be refined to eliminate this sort of thing,
frank
