I have now for about the last two months have been getting these Error Messages occassionally when I click on a folder -Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2800.1106,faulting moduleunknown, version 0.0.0.0,fault address 0x019750af. Also in a box it will say ( Sorry for the inconvenience Windows Explorer needs to close now) I close all the boxes and maybe the desktop flickers a little and all the icons changes to Microsoft designs for a second and then goes back to normal. then I click on whatever folder or file and everything is ok. this has been going on now for over a month, not every day but almost. How can I fix this? is it something to do with my Internet Explorer? Thanks comments appreciated. Kevin G

I've been getting the same error message over the past several weeks. Have done all kinds of scans and no virus or trojan present. Here is the latest error message: Event Type: Error Event Source: Application Error Event Category: None Event ID: 1000 Date: 2/10/2004 Time: 2:55:35 PM User: N/A Computer: DDTCGQ21 Description: Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2800.1221, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.1.2600.1106, fault address 0x00016b97 Short of a complete reinstall, does anyone have any idea what this is and how it might be fixed? Have accessed the MS KB article # 823772 which comes up as "no longer available"! But yet it aply describes the problem. Would appreciate any assistance with this bug! ted
