CPU/Ram: 512
Comment:

Upon new installation the following message is displayed:

File \i386\ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded
Error code 7

Is my Win XP CD corrupted ?

I would look toward your RAM as the issue.

You might also want to check your CD rom. I had the same issue last week. Ended up replacing the ram and the CD rom. After that the installation went smoothly.

Hi, you can go to START>RUN and type:
drwatson. They will tell you what your problem is.
