Hi,
I just purchased 512M DDR 2100 RAM. I replaced the 256M DDR 2100 RAM with the 512M. When I booted the system, Windows XP came up with Error code 7, unable to load the ntkno__.exe file. The BIOS saw and displayed the 512M during the 1st part of the boot up sequence. My bus speed is 100, my CAS is 2.5. I adjusted both and did not eliminate the problem. I put the 256M back in and pulled the 512M -- the system rebooted without issue. This is the second (and different) stick of 512M which I've tried. I am at a loss. I've been told it's my cheap Motherboard (ECS P4S5MG/GL). I am running the latest BIOS for this board. Any ideas?

Does the board support that specific type of memory?

The MB manual indicates that it accepts PC2100 (266MHz)DDR memory up to 2G. it also accepts PC2700 DDR.
