i am getting a error code 39 . my cd-romwas working just fine , then all of a sudded it not their i tryed to uninstall and then reinstall but still the same , also my ext. burner is reading the same.i even restored my computer to a earlyer time but no change. HELP!!!!! paul

If both CD-ROM drive and CD-RW drive can't be found by system and they are on the same IDE channel( connected together with the same IDE cable) then there could be two problems I can think of: 1. cable gone bad or lose- check it, or settings on motherboard got bad somehow- try resetting your motherboard's setting to defaults. Make sure that you can see both CD-drives in your BIOS. Or if you can, bring one of them to your friend and see if it works for him.
