Hi I cannot setup Internet connection on my Laptop due to the following:: "Cannot load the Remote Access Connection manager Service. ERROR 711 A configuration error on this computer is preventing this connection"

Go to services and re-enable tcp/ip and there may be a couple more services you have disabled.

My Modem internet connection still doesn't work "Cannot load the Remote Access Connection manager Service. ERROR 711 A configuration error on this computer is preventing this connection" if trying by services manager : "ERROR 5 refused access" and "ERROR 1068" messages occur. Greatful for any help

Do the following, it worked for me: 1. Use the Registry Editor to export HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RasMan\PPP\EAP to a SaveEAP.reg file, in case you need to restore this key.
2. Delete all of the sub-keys except 4 and 13.
3. Use the Services applet in Administrative Tools to configure the following services Startup type as Automatic:
