Hello all... I have a new printer that I bought last year and didnt use it till now (underneith stuff in my closet) My problem is that it will not print black, pure black that is. Now this is were you say, you have no black ink... well.. for one thing, I havent used it yet, for another, if you shake it, you can hear that it has plenty, the epson dialog also says that it is half full. Color prints fine... except pictures that need dark colors to look right. Im not sure if this would fall under Win Xp or hardware, since i dont know what the problem is. There is also one more thing, when I go to print preview on a web page... pieces are missing... not when I print it, but when im previewing it. So what the heck is going on? I dont want to spend money on more ink if it's not the problem... hell I could buy a new printer for what ink costs, but I dont have spare money to spend. Also, I cant bring it back cause it's over a year old now. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

From the C64 online manual--
You see wrong or missing colors.* Make sure your printer software is not set to use black ink only.
* The print head nozzles may need cleaning.
* The ink cartridges may be old or low on ink. See Replacing an Ink Cartridge for details.
* Try turning off PhotoEnhance.
* For Macintosh, try using Automatic mode.
* For Macintosh, try changing the Gamma setting; see Printing with Macintosh OS X or Printing with Macintosh OS 8.6 to 9.x.
* Your printed colors can never exactly match your on-screen colors. However, you can use a color management system to get as close as possible. Try using the ICM (Windows) or ColorSync (Macintosh) setting.
