Has anyone had a problem with an Epson photo stylus 880 after installing xp over win98.
I am away to install xp and have been told that my printer is incompatible. I have the latest win2000 driver ready to use if I need it. do i need anything else? Do i need to uninstall all my printer details prior to install?

Uninstall the old if you can and then install the latest drivers. Epson released some XP drivers for their printers so check to see what is there. If no XP then try Win 2000.

Hi, there I have an Epson 880i and it work on my Windows XP OS machine. But it's a Clean installation with no other OS on it.
And yes Epson does have the latest driver for Windows 2000/XP use that one. Thats the driver that I use and it work fine with no problem.

Epson 880 (on Usb port) No problems at all...worked with win 2000 driver ok, but updated this using the 'Windows update'...no problems. Had to download the 'status monitor' prg from the Epson site though (required to observe ink levels and enable double sided printing feature).

I've got an epson 880 installed on a network, and I can't print from my machine, I've already install the upgraded drivers for win XP...
I tried to print and I receive a negative message!!
if someone knows how to solve this problem, help me please!!!
thanks a lot in advance!!!

Hey, i had the same problem......i installed the driver from the website and i just needed to install the first driver and not the status monitor......but after awhile it stops working.....and it just sits there when i tell it to print.....sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't...i don't know why.....can you help me out? Email or post a mess.
