I went to bed last night with my computer on and woke up to use it this morning and was faced with an all black screen with white text saying "Enter CURRENT password". I'm not sure what password to use though and after 3 failed attempts it says : "Password check failed. Fatal Error... System Halted"

saying this is your computer, you could open your case and remove the cmos battery. keep it off for a minute or two. Keep in mind that this will reset your entire system to the default so you may need to get back into bios to adjust. there might be another way, but this is the only way i know.
99% of computer problems are not the motherboard nor power supply but simply between the keyboard and the chair.

Yeah i agree with scobod
Removing CMOS battery for a few minutes will reset your BIOS to default settings and you should then be able to boot up as normal again, you can then go back in and reconfigure BIOS configuration if you had anything specificly setup in there beforehand.
