End program at Xp shutdown

Everytime I try to shutdown windows Xp I get this end program box appearing with the title devdv or something. I have to end the program manually. How can I stop this happening?

You can leave the request alone and the programme will shutdown but it will take a bit more time. The screen also appears if you have been stopping and restarting XP in succession for some time in one session.
