hi, do you know of any way to encrypt things in windows xp home, not a third party program. Somthing, maybe a file, that allows xp home to encrypt like xp pro?????

Yes, but the ability is not biult into the OS. To get an equivilant ability, search the internet for AxCrypt. It is completly free, and lisenced under the GNU GPL. I use it even though I have XP Pro.
