All I want to do is encrypt a folder on my external hard drive so when I let someone else use it on their computer, they won't see that specific folder. However, with all my searching through trial encryption software on the internet, I come to one big problem. It will encrypt the folder, but when I move the hard drive to a different computer, there it is again, like it was never encrypted!!! Surely there is a way to do this!!! But I can't seem to find the right software. Please, if there is anyone out there that knows of something, let me know. I can't be the only person in the world that has this need! Thanks in advance for any help. One more note, I know WinXP Pro has encryption capabilities, but I have Home, so that isn't an option for me. I need software! Thanks

Had same problem. Now I drag everything to my own internal drive, encrypt them and return them to external & they stay encrypted!.
