Hello together,

Does anyone knows which registry keys need to be changed to enable/disable XP's print screen function (Ctrl+Alt+Print)?

Would be great to hear from you!

Thanks a lot!!!

I'm confused. By "Print" do you mean the Print Screen key? If so, the Ctrl-Alt isn't necessary. Pressing the Print Screen key alone will send the screen shot to the Clipboard.

If that's what you meant, did you Google? I found this: http://labnol.blogspot.com/2004/08/...

jennifer

Sounds like the OP is referring to the keyboard command to print, not print screen.

Hello,

and thank you for your hints!

I found the link:
http://labnol.blogspot.com/2004/08/...

but my Windows XP Pro has no predefined hotkeys in the registry:
IDHOT_SNAPDESKTOP and IDHOT_SNAPWINDOW
(search function did not find them)

Is there a registry key for turning off the
clipboard perhaps?

Any idea?

Thanks a lot!

Hello,

yes, when the clipboard is disabled it has the same consequence.

Does someone know a tool that can trace modifications in the Windows XP Pro registry?

Every hint is welcome!!!

Thanks,

So you WANT to disable the option to cut, copy, and paste as well as the Print Screen option?

If you need help with Registry issues, you should post another thread.
