Every time I open a page that has an embedded video on it my browser crashes. It doesn't matter which browser I use. I tried it in Internet Explorer, MSN, Opera, and Firefox. Lately the only thing I've done different on my computer is I updated to the newest Java Runtime Environment update (update 6 version 5.0). It was an automatic update but Spysweeper (my anti-spyware program) popped up or rather tried to and stopped responding and I eventually had to restart windows. I thought the update got corrupted so I uninstalled the update it just did and reinstalled it from the sun microsystems web page. Now ever since that happened (this might be coincidence though) I haven't been able to view any videos on any websites. I uninstalled that update again because someone suggested that update might have a bug in it or something so now I'm running the version I had before the update. Also I thought the problem was quicktime because I had recently upgraded that too. So I uninstalled and reinstalled that to the newest version. That didn't help. I tried a virus scan (with Mccafee) and no threat was found. So now I don't know what to try next. I hope that all makes sense. Here's some information: Firefox version 1.5 IE version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 Opera version 8.51 build 7712 Java 2 Runtime Environment version 5.0 update 4 Programs I have running almost all the time: mIRC (my IRC client) version 6.14 Trillian (Instant Messaging) version 3.1 basic build 121 MSN messenger version 7.5 build 7.5.0311 Also I can play videos with any of my players off my computer normally it's only when they are on a web page. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.
