Email Stuck in outlook outbox

I sent an email a few days ago with an attachment that was 4MB. It has been stuck in my outbox and when I hit send/recieve...it little icon on the right-hand bottom screen keeps trying to send but nothing happens. It won't let me delete or move because it says it already started transmitting. Pleas help

is it outlook express? and is this the only email in this folder? if yes, close outlook express then find and delete the file outbox.dbx, a new file will be created the next time you start OE.
