Comment:
After sending an email that has a jpeg pic and wav sounds in the background to a friend; they say that they are not receiving the jpeg pic or the wav sounds in their email, which is yahoo. My question is; what settings should I have them adjust as I am using OE? Any helpful responses are appreciated. Thank you.

What exactly do you mean by "Background?" Are you sending the files as attachments? Or are you trying to incorporate the files within your email so that the wav plays and the user sees the jpg as the actual background to the email message? If it's the latter, the Yahoo user will have to make sure the "Show html graphics in email..." is NOT checked in the options for his/her mail account. Also, text will show up, but the colored background will not.

lots of email servers and firewalls, (including mine) are now configured to strip out all such attachments due the large number of virus and trojans attached by jpegs and wav files.
it could be either your isp's mail server/firewall doing it or your buds.
