How do I setup Outlook to automatically notify me when I receive new emails? (with a beep or a pop-up message).

Outlook's default setting is for a little "balloon" to pop up by your clock that informs you of "new mail". You can go into your sound settings in control panel and assign a sound for "email notification". Make it a loud one and you'll here it whenever new mail comes in as long as Outlook is opened, even if it's minimized.
In Outlook, go into "tools/options" and under "email options" check the box that says "Display notification message when new mail arrives"
I have a Star trek sound assigned, Worf says "Captain, incoming message" I can hear it all over the house :)
