How do I setup outlook to notify me when I've received new email? I mean, with a beep or something.

In outlook XP: Click "tools" then "options". In the new window click the "E-Mail Options" button. In that new window, click "Advanced E-Mail Options". Finally in this third window, there is section to select how you want outlook to notify you of new mail.
