I need to setup an email for a friend who uses comcast email. I want to be able when clicking on a email link to open comcast email, I also don't know if I can set up an account to use outlook express since Comcast
mail is not on the dropdown list under the internet explorer options.Any help will be really appreciated.

I know nothing about comcast but it should be possible to set up an account setup from within Outlook Express. Your server should be able to give you the settings for this.

In outlook express go to tools, accounts, click "mail" tab at top, then click "properties."

In the box under "Mail Account," put - mail.comcast.net.

Under "user info" put Name and email address, put check mark in "include this account when receiving mail or sync."

Click "servers" tab at top.
Incomming mail server is - POP3

Incoming mail - mail.comcast.net

Outgoing mail - smtp.comcast.net

Put the account name, password, check remember password if you want.

You are good.

James.

After setting up the account on Outlook Express open the Internet Explorer browser and select Tools and Internet Options, then select the Programs tab and make sure that the Email selection is for Outlook Express.

Good luck

Richard
