Hi
I keep getting a email that i can't delete, Does anyone know how i can delete it..Here it is..
Dear c cTo help protect our users from automatically generated junk e-mail (or spam), MSN Hotmail periodically asks for identity verification.
Please go to http://www.hotmail.msn.com and follow the instructions. It takes only a few minutes and you can then return to using your Hotmail account.
Thank you for helping us to help reduce your junk e-mail.
Sincerely,
MSN Hotmail Staff
Please do not reply to this e-mail as this is an unmonitored alias.

I'm not to sure what you mean by "Can't delete"
Do you mean you keep recieving the same email?
or you simply cannot delete the email from your PC?and btw...that is a bogus/phishing email....don't follow the instructions

Any fool can make a rule and any fool will follow it

I can't delete from my email and when i close it it keeps bringing up the envlope in the systerm tray saying i have mail...
tks chuck

What email program do you use? Can yhou send this piece of mail to your trash? And then you can't delete it from trash?? Is this correct?
And pay attention to Alan56. Do NOT answer this phishing expedition.

Outlook express and it wont let me delete at all..When i try to do something it says the server does not support manual deleation of email but i can delete other stuff..
tks

Unfortunately, it is not a phishing expedition. This is a legitimate e-mail sent by Microsoft. It's purpose? Well, officially they say that it is to cut down on spam. Since it's so easy to set up a free hotmail account, this 'supposedly' will hassle spammers enough to turn them to non-hotmail e-mail addresses. This message usually appears when you try to send mail in Outlook or Outlook Express - it won't show when you're just viewing mail. You don't have to click on any link in the e-mail; you can go to www.hotmail.com, sign in, and then you'll have to do the picture verification to make sure you are a human and not a bot.
The unofficial reason behind this new policy is to make you pay for your hotmail account. That's right - if you sign up for hotmail's "premium" services, at the low low cost of $19.95/year, then you won't get these messages.
Personally, I'm migrating away from this hotmail bs.
