For added security from a virus and to delete any junk mail I always view any new emails I've recieved on my server first , After this I sign off my ISP email service which will then allow me to download what I did not delete to my PC via Outlook Express ver6. Whenever I do this it always downloads two copies of the same email ? Is this due to some setting in Outlook ,if yes can you tell me how to change this minor action ! If there is no setting in Outlook that would cause this to happen ,anyone have any idea's ? All replies & info greatly appreciated !

FWIW. I don't know if it's related to your problem, but I have noticed Outlook Express 'occasionally' downloading two copies of the same message.

I went ahead and tried a google search and found a suggested fix of unchecking the box in options in outlook express that says "send recieve on startup" ! However after performing that action I sent myself an email with my hotmail account and once again two copies where placed in my inbox ? The only differance was I had to click on the send /recieve button at the top of outlook. I then went into properties and noticed my email address listed twice under accounts ,one was the default the other just the email adress was listed . I was a little nervous ,however I went and deleted the one with email addy only and whala ,now only one email is placed on inbox ,I left the send/recieve on startup box unchecked also !
