emachine wont boot windows xp

Specs: Windows XP
my start menu toolbar and icons wouldnt work i used the taskbar and typed in explorer.exe and restarted my computer it worked then when i turned it on again the nex day it had the same problem so i did it again but when i turned my computer back on it says windows did not start successfully and it wont start no matter what mode i try please help

If your hard drive is ok see if it will respond to =
Power on - start tapping the F11 = press R when asked.
This takes you were you can format your hard drive.
Another way put your eMachine CD into the tray =
Power on - see if this takes you were you can format
your hard drive.
I'm not telling you to format your hard drive, that would be
for you to decide.

All your files can be saved by taking your hard drive out
and put into an enclosure and connected to another PC
by USB.
I'm not sure about USB but if put in as a slave an
Error Checking can be done.
Using a different computer download Malewarebyte Anti-maleware to a CD and see if you can get it to run
on the damaged computer. I've never tried that, just a suggestion.
I just put Malewarebyte on a CD and tested it on
my computer. It will scan. The Icon in these file that starts it is mbam.exe
