Subject: Edit Registry from slave drive?
OS: Windows 2000
CPU/Ram: Pentium 4 1.6A/768mb
Comment:

The next time i come across an infected computer i want to be able to boot from a spare drive i have and make the infected drive slave (so i can wipe out those nasty files that refuse to delete / create random names on reboot, etc) -
But... how do you edit the registry of the slave drive ?
I found some instructions once about importing hives but of course when i tried it i ended up with a fubarred OS :(
Any ideas?

Might look at barts at nu2. It is a sort of live cd for just such things.
