I see no one else has responded to your inquiry so I will attempt to help. You need to explain what it is you need to accomplish by editing the registry on the slave drive. Is the slave drive part of a dual boot in this computer? Is the drive from a different computer?
You would need either a registry editor that can load the correct files or do that with a windows app.
I never tried it but you might be able to double click on the file and either it will open with regedit or you might be able to select it to open with.
Barts and UBCD4win have plugin's that work also as stand alone apps.
"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, are in my top 10
I do computer repair, and many issues (from spyware to forgotten passwords) could easily be solved with a few r3egistry edits. However, I can't always boot the machine (such as when I don't know the password or there is a spyware infection). It would be nice to just pull the drive, connect it to my working computer, and be able to make what ever changes are needed.
