Comment: ok my problem is with easy cd creator 5 with the direct cd facility with windows xp ive installed creator 5 and also installed the update patch for xp but the direct cd still wont work the cd/rw is a philips 4012p which should be ok do i need to disable amd remove the direct cd facility included in windows xp and if so how do i remove all traces of this

Reply: You need to download the updated XP driver from roxio. You have to be running 5.1 in XP.
You need not remove any of MS programs. I use both Roxio and Windows media player to burn CD's

Reply: reformat your HD and reinstall with nero. The crap I had with and after preinstalled easycd was unbelievable. roxio blows chunks
