i just want to know the easiest way to foramt my 30 gig hard drive WITHOUT INSTALLING an OS i am going to take my harddrive out and give it to someone else so i dunt wanna install an OS right AWAY. PLZZZZZZZZZZZ HELP ME PLZZZZ

Other than that you need a 98 boot disk from boot disk.com and change first boot device in bios to floppy and boot to that floppy and type in fdisk and type in format c: and you will be cleaned considering c is the only partition you have on that harddrive.

If that isn't ur booting (c:) hard drive then u can format it with windows Just right click on it. If that is ur only hard drive then boot the windows xp cd and go as if u are installing xp brand new, format the drive and then take it out and never really install xp after u reboot.
