e mail alert on logon screen

Since i installed service pack 1 so i could install the security patch for the sasser worm I have noticed when I reboot my computer and the log on screen comes up i have 2 accounts, which is normal. They are Jack and Jane. Now under Jack who is me the administrator it shows 1 E mail alert. The E mail alert is my sons E mail at the University of Alabama. It says "1 unred message " for his E mail. He is home for a few weeks and checks it on my computer. Why does my computer remember his e mail and put an alert under my name on the log on screen??
I don't want my computer checking anything unless I tell it to.

Download a small application called TweakUI for XP. It has a feature to turn off unread mail.

Open Tweak UI, scroll down and click on Logon, untick Show unread mail on Welcome Screen. You can Scope to what ever you want.
