I recently had run-in with Dyfuca virus. I think I finally removed everything that caused it to regenerate itself after virus scans, Ad Aware and Spybot searches, add/remove programs, registry fixes, etc. Thanks to seaching this Forum for answers!

My question is, How do I prevent programs like this from installing on my computer. I have a virus program and keep it updated, Windows is updated regularly, I use Windows firewall(Hmmm), My internet settings are set to the default selection, Java 1.5.0_02 installed, I am logged on with administrator priveledges. My Dsl Firewall is active.

What do I need to do different to protect myself better?

Would any changes to ActiveX or scripting permissions help? Should I log on under a User account instead of Admin?

Thanks for any input
