Depending on the speed and memory of your PC you shouldn't need the dxr3 card. I had the dxr2 card and pulled it. I also found WINDVD 2000 out on the internet, sorry I don't remember where, and started using it to view movies. I haven't had any problems since.

i have the windvd 2000, but that program doesn't send let us see the dvd on the tv !!
that why i bought the dxr3 sometime ago ...

i use the hollywood driver and player for XP

Remove the creative drivers before install
Hollywood Plus drivers....

I did this and didnt realise that creative have done something to the card and when you load the hw+ drivers the eeprom has a problem and u still cant view dvds on the tele!

I have downloaded the latest Dxr3 drivers from creative and it works, however I cannot hear sound...I have the SB Live Value soundcard and It doesn't work with the Dxr3, and note that I have tried all the settings available, Surround/PCM and the third one which I don't remember at the moment...

Using Google just now, I located the following link for beta Win XP drivers:

http://asia.creative.com/support/drivers/welcome.asp?region=3&OS=%23WinXP%23&prod=%

Just scroll down to the DVD section.

Haven't tested them as I'm yet to summon up the courage to install XP ;) but I dare say they'll work.
