Hi
I'm getting a dwwin.exe error when my computer starts up. I click OK and it goes away but if I try to browse any files using Windows Explorer or My Computer, the dwwin.exe error comes up every time and my screen goes blank for a second then all my icons reappear.
Just wondering if anybody knows what to do about this?
THanks!
Homer

Homer, dwwin.exe is Microsoft's error reporting service. If you want to disable it follow the instructions at the link below.

dwwin.exe is Microsoft Application Error Reporting. You may have a problem with a background program starting at Startup.

May want to look at items on the Startup tab in msconfig.
Start,
Run, then type

msconfig

does or means, and any recommendation as to if you should close the process:

Thanks for the info. I disabled the error reporting and it didn't pop up the error message but still when I try to using Windows Explorer, my screen goes black for a second then my icons reappear but I can't use Explorer.

One way to check to see if it is a Startup program is to see if Explorer works in Windows Safe-Mode.
