Hi, my DVDs will not play at all. I have a LiteOn DVD-ROM LTD163D installed and it will play CDs just fine. When I use PowerDVD 4.0 to watch the movies I have a error come up that says:
"The TV Out port of your display card is not working properly. This copy protected disc can not be played when the TV out function is enabled."My Video Card is a GeForce 3 Ti200 that does have a S-Video jack on it. I do not use this jack nor have I ever. I have tried looking in the Display settings of the video card but have not found any answers. The drivers for this card are up to date also. I also have tried looking for updated drivers for my DVD-ROM but have not been able to find any.
I had the understanding that if you were not using the TV-Out function, it would be automatically disabled. Does anyone have any answers for me?

Have you read the users guide and followed the instructions.
Everyhting is adequately explained there.

Thank you for your reply, but unfortunately I do not have a users guide. The video card was given to me with no users guide by a friend of mine. I have tried searching in different places on the net, but have not come up with no answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

There is a reg hack for that i had to do the same thing when i installed my (lite-on)dvd rom 3 weeks ago. Blah
Anyway go to run type in regedit then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak\DISPLAY1\DisplayModes and delete the tvo and tv strings. Before doing so make sure to back up that file or your whole registry whichever u choose. By the way after deleting this 2 strings you will not be able to use the tv-out feature. But it helped me be able to watch dvd on my pc.OS = xp pro
