DVD-RW not playing audio properly

When I play dvd's, the audio is jumpy....I have no idea why this is....every dvd I try is jumpy...can anyone help me?

Renee, my SWAG is that your machine is putting all on hold while looking for something. Since that occurs in the background and at machine speed, the only tell tale trace we can detect is audio. What to do about it? Dunno. Perhaps that bit of info'll steer you in the right direction? HTH. Ed in Texas.

Thank you for that Ed.....I speculated that it could have something to do with the audio...it might be that I just need to update it.....I will certainly look into it.
