A real quick (and probably easy for you guys) question. Can DVD+RW discs be successfuly read in standard DVD-ROM drives? Not copied to - just read!
Sorry for such a basic question, but I'm really new to recordable DVD.

I can't see there would be any problem with this. I'm not being funny but can you be a bit more specific and In will try to help some more. Do you mean a rewritable DVD disc to be read in a DVD rom drive?
Regards DrSonny
If I knew it, I wouldn't ask!!!

I think the question is pretty clear. User wants to know if a DVD-ROM drive can read DVD+RW disks.

Yeah, that's right. If I was to create a data disc using a DVD+RW, would I then be able to take it over to a friends computer that only has a bog-standard read-only DVD drive and get the files onto their computer?

The answer is that it should work on the majority of drives, but only a small amount won't read properly.
