Ok guys. I have a Compaq DRD8080B DVD-ROM in my computer. The driver for it was originally installed with the OEM software setup and Win98se. Now I have WinXP Pro....and the drive used to work with it. but somehow my driver has gotten replaced with a generic CD-ROM driver. It is impossible to find a driver for this driver so I ask....are there any other options like a generic DVD-ROM driver or something? I'm not going to reinstall the OEM software and lose XP Pro and all of my settings just to get the DVD-ROM to be recognized.
