DVD+R DL burned on Linux

March 24, 2009 at 20:55:27
Specs: Windows XP
I recently burned a DVD+R DL on a Linux computer, I didn't put video on it, I put a whole bunch of media (music, pictures, other), almost 8 gigs, and I made sure that the burn was succesful using the same computer. All the files were there. But when I tried to open this using my windows file browser, to extract the data I got this error.
"X:\ is not accesible.
Acess is denied.
"
X=drive letter.
Does anyone know why, are my drives just outdated? Will Windows not open something burned on Linux? Is there something I can get to fix this (preferably free-ware)?

larz258, suspect you've put your finger on the problem. A Windows-Linux conflict. My suggestion is look at the filename suffix and consult 'What opens what' @:
http://filext.com/
You may already have what's needed or at least you'll know what to seek.
