I have just purchsed my first DVD writer. Installed it in my PC and XP recorgnised it with no problems. BTW its a NEC ND-4550 from SVP. On opening the MY COMPUTER folder the drive shows up as DVD-RAM DRIVE E. So far so good. However when I insert a Fujifilm DVD R+ into the drive it changes to read CD DRIVE E.The drive fails to recorgnise there is a DVD in the drive at all.Where am I going wrong?
2. Insert the Fujifilm DVD-R+ disc in the DVD-RW drive bay.
3.Launch DVD Identifier
4. Check at the top in the box of Drive Selection and Drive Write Capabilities for your NEC Device name and below that in green squares the type of Discs it can Write.
5. Click the Identify button with a ? near Top RIGHT of thisDVD Identifier window for information about the DVD Disc you have inserted. Hope this helps.
