DVD to SVCD..?

Hi, i have ripped a dvd movie into my hard drive(VOB+IFO files, with Smart ripper), but as i expected is too big! Could someone explain me how to burn dvd into SVCD or how to compress VOB files..? Thanks in advance.

Do you have a DVD burner? If so then DVD Shrink 3.1 will compress a dvd to under 4.7 mb so it will fit on a single layer DVD disk. If you have only a CD burner then the prog I use is called #1 DVD Ripper. It can split a movie into 700mb segments in SVCD (Mpeg2) to fit a normal CD.
