I just ordered an LG DVD writer that came bundled with Ahead Software. The PC accepts the DVD burner fine, BUT, as soon as I load in the Ahead software and it says I have to reboot to finish the installation, 5 minutes after reboot the PC gets the BSOD. Sorry, I can't remember the exact message, I was just in a hurry to uninstall it to see if the problem still persisted. So I go into safe mode on reboot and uninstall the software....no more crashes. Anyone have a solution for this? I also installed another DVD burner software from my external HP DVD burner and it works fine? I'm stumped because the Ahead software was specifically for that burner.
Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

Problems with software are real and arise after installing a new program.Remove the program and the situation goes back to normal.Simply shy away from those. Some burning suite programs and computer utilities suite are good at making things difficult once installed on the hard drive.Symptoms are like the ones you had or having other programs(like a game) getting suddenly buggy.Good luck.

This is the problem we do not know the error code?
Have you tried to reinstall the same software? If not you may need to, to get the error code.

Is the "Ahead" software - "Nero"? Sometimes the "InCD" portion of that software can cause conflicts, so you might try to see if you can custom install the software and leave out "InCD". Also, if you have a different burning software on your pc, like "Roxio", then that could also conflict. Try to just have one burning software on your pc.
