Greetingz...

i have this strange problem, i have a dual OS that is RedHat Linux 9.0 and winXP media center edition. the problem is that whenever i use my windows OS my dvd (Liteon DVDRW LDW-411S) could not read from CD's/CD RW nor could it write to CD-R or CDRW but it could read DVD's and could write on DVD-R too.

In Linux i could perform all functions that my dvd drive is designed for.

any idea would be appreciated.

thankz.

Have you made sure your DVDRW drive doesn't need a firmware update? And have you made sure to install any DVD software that came with the drive within Windows in case there's some weird driver issue?
