DVD Rom recognised as CR Rom

I have a samsung dvd 608, and since installing xp pro, it is recognised as a cd rom and consequently, wont play dvd's.

You need to install the Software that came with the DVD Rom Drive...PowerVR or something. This may not solve the problem as the driver on the installation CD may not be up to date. Go to Samsung site and download XP drivers for DVD -Rom
