hello
i have wiered porblem with my pioneer dvd rom drive model 117.
It used to work fine as secondary master with yamaha cd burner. A few days ago i installed sony 510A dvd burner and this time made 510A as master and pioneer as slave.
For a few days this seemed to work fine. But now when i insert a cd or dvd in it it cant read it. when i boor into win98 though it works fine. I even made it secondary standalone just to check and the probelm is persistent. what is wrong here? Please help.

What I would try if you already haven't:

On the XP partition remove all drivers and programs associated with the dvd, remove the dvd from the device manager, reboot, reinstall all software.
