DVD recorder

I just ordered a NIC-3500a DVD recorder. I have a cr-rom and a cd-r/rw on one ribbon.My C hard drive is on the end of the end of the 2nd ribbon. would the DVD recorder work ok on the center connector with HD?

Yes it will. Just make sure that one is plugged Master and the other is Slave.

I have found that connecting the DVD burner as Master on the 2nd IDE gives the best results. Lots of problems have been fixed just by simply moving the burner to this position. Make sure that the link on the back of the burner is set to Master as well.

Agree with "Dog".
It is better to connect the DVD as master on the secondary IDE.--you could also set the Cd-RW as slave on the Sec IDE.
Place the Hard Drive As Master on the Primary IDE. That leaves an opening for another Hard Drive if needed on the primary channel.
