whenever I try to play a dvd, the screen is too dark. I tried to do a full re-install of XP and it still does the same thing. It was working with no problems untill a few weeks ago. Any ideas?

What kind of monitor do you have anyway?
It happens to my system too when I play DVD
which I have to increase the brightness
because my monitor is getting a little old...

Its some hundai 17" monitor, but its only DVDs that does that. It also does that when i'm using a Sony LCD projector. Only with DVDs.
