i have a toshiba qosmio it is old and has xp
need to reformat but the cd dvd drive does not work tried using an external cd dvd drive
and it cannot establish link it says
i copied the two reformat discs on my other computer to a flash drive and have no clue how to boot from this any suggestions
You'll either need to replace the optical drive, or install from USB (assuming the machine supports booting to USB). While installing from USB is somewhat of a pain, it can be done. There's various info on the web on how to do it; this is just one method: http://en.kioskea.net/faq/3065-inst...
