Hello, I use dvd x copy for back up of my movies and within the past month the program says 100 percent, but each movie I try to play it skips terribly. Then usually to the point of freezing. I thought maybe it was the program so I tried 1 click dvd copy. Same thing, but even worse. This also just started happening when I make home movies and put them on dvd using pinnacle studio. So I'm assuming it's not a program problem anymore. I have 11gb of drive space for the temp file so it's not that either. Could it be my dvd drive going bad? Also, it burns data dvd's just fine. What do you guys think? Thank you.

If it burns data DVDs ok, I wouldn't think it was the problem. But I would probably try cleaning the drive anyway. Data DVDs have error correction to help with reading. I don't think video DVDs do.
